I had gotten to know Larry in the 7th grade, easy going and laid back. He had bought and sold some livestock and had done some bull riding. He was quite versed in the country music of the day and was comrades with Craig Winters, Scott Gundlach and Jim speaks. Larry has gone way too soon!
Alan thanks for posting this. I had no idea Larry had passed. I went to Colbert ES with Larry and he was one of my close friends during that time. In second grade when the school levy failed we went to Whitworth ES. Larry and I had a rough and tumble friendship that year. Every day at recess we went to the edge of the playground away from most kids and had a knock down drag out wrestling match. I still wonder what those playground monitors were doing never coming over to check on us rolling around with a stranglehold on each other. I just know 1972 was not like 2022. Wish I could go back just for a day. RIP Larry.
