Very sorry to hear this news...sounds like he lived his 59 years well

I'm deeply saddened to hear this news. Bryan (spelled with a y, not an i) was a truly amazing man. He was brilliant and full of life.

I got to know Bryan in junior high he was always expanding the boundaries of debate on any subject. Always questioning the reasoning of any instructions. Bryan was all Panther. As I recall he was active in the jazz band, he loved music. Bryan marched to his own rhythm no matter what the situation. 59 years is way too young to concede to a lifetime. The fastest thing in the universe is time!  We must make the most of it.

Another classmate gone too soon. I enjoyed reading some of his Facebook posts about the local politics in Walla Walla. His responses to people were always well-reasoned and supported by facts. I felt sorry for those who tried to take him on without similar abilities. It would have been great to chat with him after all these years.

There will be a service in Walla Walla on April 16th.  Time and place have not been announced as of yet.  I'll try to update this site once its known if classmates would like to attend.

We, Mary and Becci Lubbers, would like to invite you to Bryan's celebration of life on Sunday, April 16th, at Dragon's Gate Brewery (52288 Sunquist Rd, Milton-Freewater, OR 97862) from 2 to 5 pm. There will be a formal program followed by heavy hors-d'oeuvres and refreshments. We have asked a select few, very close friends to speak at the formal portion of the program. We know many have stories of Bryan they wish to tell and so we would ask that folks share those at table, in community with each other as Bryan would have most enjoyed.

In order to help us with catering numbers, we ask that you RSVP to becciferyl@gmail.com

Love,
Mary and Becci
